Before you touch your pigment-fading treatments, give your skin a chance to adjust to the essentials.

Your acid-based cleanser will start gently exfoliating and smoothing texture. Your antioxidant serum (like Secret Agent VI) will help reduce oxidative stress — a major trigger for melasma. And your moisturizer will begin rebuilding your barrier.

Stick with this trio for the first 7–10 days, morning and night.
